If you are in a Ph.D. program or considering a Ph.D. in social, behavioral, and economic sciences (e.g., Anthropology, Criminology, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology), The Atlantic Coast Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences (AC-SBE) Alliance is for you!

The AC-SBE Alliance is a program among five schools that collaboratively engage in broadening the participation of underrepresented students in SBE doctoral programs. It will enrich your college experiences and provide you with exciting opportunities!

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The goals of AC-SBE Alliance are to increase the number of underrepresented students receiving PhD's in SBE disciplines who enter the professoriate. Activities are aimed at both undergraduate and graduate students. The objectives are to:

  • Recruit and prepare undergraduates to pursue the SBE PhD degree
  • Assist students in the transition from BS to SBE PhD programs
    • Students
  • Retain SBE graduate students to completion of the PhD
  • Prepare future SBE faculty for success
